About the role
We are looking for individuals who excel in customer service, prioritise safety, and bring a positive, approachable attitude. This role ensures passenger safety, delivers genuine care, and adheres to strict protocols.
This is a full-time position involving shift work, including weekends, public holidays, and occasional overnight stays. Reporting to the Head of Cabin Crew, you will be the face of our company, representing us to passengers and clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Consistently delivering exceptional customer service to all passengers, including serving food and drinks, greeting passengers, and addressing feedback/suggestions.
- Informing passengers about emergency and safety procedures.
- Liaising effectively with the Pilot, First Officer, and other NJE staff.
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge of our policies and procedures.
- Upholding a high standard of professional uniform and grooming presentation.
- Reporting and documenting any safety incidents or identified hazards.
Requirements & Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Due to the aircraft we operate, you must have a height between 160cm and 190cm.
- Be able to push open and pull closed doors/exits weighing up to 18kg. Use of both arms at above and below shoulder height is required.
- Hold a current passport.
- Hold a Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) and CPR Certificate (HLTAID009), or willing to obtain (with at least 6 months validity)
- Hold a current RSA, or willing to obtain (with at least 6 months validity)
- Be able to swim 50 metres unaided and tread water for 3 minutes.
- Be able to demonstrate one of the following: Completed a minimum of 3 years of secondary education in Australia or Recent Zealand, or Worked in Australia or New Zealand for at least 4 of the last 5 years, or Worked in the UK, Ireland, or the USA for at least 3 of the last 5 years, or Completed the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with an overall grade of 5.5.
- Have the availability to work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Proven experience working with people from various cultures and backgrounds.
- Have a natural ability to build rapport with others.
