We are seeking a flexible HSE ADVISOR for a coverage role near Karratha.
You will be primarily responsible for carrying out all aspects of HSE and the timely completion of activities not limited to the duties below:
Coverage from 9/11 until ***** on a 19:9 roster
Key Responsibilities
Incident investigations and management
Injury management
Audits and inspections
Training and coaching
System reviews & data analysis
Facilitate HSE meetings & manage Risk Management Workshops
Documentation preparation
A high focus on life saving commitments
Preparation and delivery of toolbox and campaign material
Adhoc coverage across sites during shutdowns and outages
Daily/weekly site visits
Ensure that all HS&E processes comply with the requirements of KAEFER and client policies, procedures and project specifications, as identified in the contract document and HSE management plan(s).
Participate in the periodic review of processes and the system of audit for HS&E to ensure proper alignment with Client and Corporate goals and targets, plus areas of continuous improvement.
Investigate HS&E near misses and incidents with outcome of investigation produced in a timely and professional manner.
Review incident reporting (including near misses) and provide input as appropriate to corrective actions and prevention.
About You
Min. 3yrs proven experience as an Advisor in either the Mining or Heavy industries.
Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety – Diploma (essential) | Cert IV in Workplace OHS (preferred)
Must reside in WA
Strong problem-solving skills to address safety issues and recommend practical solutions
Proven ability to develop and implement safety policies & procedures in line with mining or heavy industrial standards.
A proactive and results oriented mindset committed to promoting a culture of safety within the project
Highly developed communication skills including the ability to influence and negotiate all stakeholders
