We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Mental Health Triage team.
* The successful applicant will have extensive experience as a Community Mental Health Nurse with advanced clinical skills in crisis intervention, assessment and treatment of adults and seniors with complex mental disorders.
* They will possess knowledge of Adult and Senior Mental Health service delivery systems, including the National Standards for Mental Health Services.
* A strong ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and independently is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responds to contacts made to the Pilbara Mental Health and Drug Service (Eastern Region), identifies referrals and sets priorities for management.
* Collates information for intake meetings and coordinates emergency responses within the region.
* Liaises with government and non-government service providers to coordinate Mental Health Services and provide educational support.
* Undertakes senior level projects, represents the service and provides consultation at the state level as required.
* Analyses clinical interventions and identifies trends within programs and reports accordingly.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated expert level skills in crisis intervention, assessment and treatment of adults and seniors with complex mental disorders.
* Knowledge of Adult and Senior Mental Health service delivery systems.
* Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a multidisciplinary team and independently.
* Knowledge and ability to initiate and manage interventions under the Mental Health Act 2014.
* Clinical leadership skills, including providing clinical supervision, line management and performance development.
