The Role
The APS 6 Administration Team Leader is responsible for providing high-level leadership and operational support within the team. The role requires a strong focus on accountability and professionalism, ensuring that tasks, processes and outcomes meet organisational standards and contribute to overall team effectiveness.

The position demands excellent leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate staff, coordinate resources efficiently, and drive operational improvements. The APS 6 Administration Team Leader must also demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities, streamline workflows, and deliver outcomes on time, while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

About our Team
Defence Counsel Services (DCS) provides independent and trusted legal assistance to members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF). We support current and former ADF members by offering legal advice on administrative and military discipline matters, as well as Wills and Powers of Attorney. DCS can also provide limited guidance on certain civilian legal matters.

The DCS team is diverse, comprising both civilian and military staff, and includes a mix of in-person and remote workers.
