Digital Regional and Client Partnerships Editor - News Corp
We are seeking a Digital Regional & Client Partnerships Editor to drive regional real estate journalism while managing and growing client partnerships. This mid-senior editor role requires a strategic and hands-on approach to hitting audience and revenue targets. You will be responsible for maximising regional real estate coverage and leveraging client relationships to enhance content performance on news.com.au.
We are open to this position operating from any of our metro/regional offices across Australia; however, the preferred location would be from a regional office.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute editorial strategies that elevate regional real estate journalism both locally and nationally.
2. Manage and grow client partnerships, ensuring alignment with editorial standards and audience needs.
3. Achieve key performance targets, including audience growth, engagement, and commercial success.
4. Collaborate with internal teams, including editorial, publishing, and clients, to deliver high-quality content.
5. Oversee digital content creators and journalists, providing leadership and coaching.
6. Analyse audience data and insights to refine content strategies and improve performance.
7. Ensure content meets SEO and social media best practices to maximise reach.
8. Ensure weekend coverage for an audience-first approach and seven-day operation.
9. Attend key internal and external stakeholder meetings, providing analytics, recommendations, and insights.
10. Refine strategies based on performance data to hit key KPIs, referral, and client targets.
Who are you?
* 5+ years of experience in digital journalism, content partnerships, and/or audience growth.
* Proven track record in managing content amplification and delivering revenue outcomes.
* Strong editorial judgment and understanding of audience engagement strategies.
* Experience in managing teams and leading editorial projects.
* Knowledge of SEO, digital marketing (paid media), and social media trends.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
* Understanding of content-led growth principles and tracking outcomes.
* Thorough knowledge of analytics, trends, and data to make informed decisions on maximising audience engagement.
* Experience using content management systems (CMS) and analytics tools.
* Video editing and on-camera experience.
* Homepage editing and high-level digital production experience.
