Lead Veterinarian Full time Brighton Vet RR-8457

Lead Veterinarian | Brighton Vet | Full Time or Part Time

4 minutes from the beach, a team ready to follow your lead, and a genuine opportunity to shape the way a clinic runs and grows – Up to $170k salary package, $10k relocation plus $30k in retention bonuses.

Brighton Vet sits just 4 minutes from the coast in Perth's northern suburbs, with easy freeway access—putting you within 30 minutes of the city lights. It's also close to the Butler train line and home to a welcoming community of locals and expats who truly value their pets. This is a clinic where relationships matter, team culture is strong, and gold-standard care isn't aspirational—it's what we do every day.

You'll step into a hands‐on leadership role within a close‐knit team, guiding and supporting a predominantly small animal caseload – plus the occasional wildlife case to keep things interesting. With modern imaging, endoscopy, and a well‐equipped clinical setup, you'll have the tools to lead confidently and practise at a high standard, while mentoring others to do the same.

This isn't your next role. It's an opportunity to influence clinical direction, build a team culture you're proud of, and create a career and lifestyle in a clinic that values strong leadership, great medicine, and long‐term belonging.

Whyyou'lllove it here

* Salary package up to $170,000
* $30,000 Student Loan Retention Bonus for people with big dreams – paid over 3 years and designed to be used your way.
* Relocation support up to $10,000 + 1 month's accommodation for eligible candidates
* $2,000 CPD allowance + 1 week paid study leave
* No after‐hours or public holidays – your time outside the clinic is yours
* Flexible full‐time or part‐time options – because life doesn't fit one mould
* A highly skilled nursing team in a collaborative, relaxed clinic culture that enjoys showing up

About You

You are a confident and compassionate clinician who leads with empathy and clear communication. You enjoy mentoring others and are committed to excellence in patient care and team wellbeing.

You hold a BVSc, DVM, or equivalent recognised in Australia, with at least five years of clinical experience and a track record of mentoring or supporting less senior colleagues. You're registered, or eligible to register, with the Veterinary Surgeons' Board of Western Australia.

About the Role

This is a hands‐on clinical leadership role, not an administrative one. You'll spend most of your week in consults and theatre, with the mentoring, standards work, and culture‐building happening alongside the medicine rather than instead of it. Day‐to‐day, you'll be working a varied small animal caseload with clients who trust your judgement and back considered diagnostics. You'll mentor the team through complex cases, refine clinical standards, and help shape the direction of a clinic that's already well‐regarded locally.

We know this industry isn't without its challenges, and we take that seriously. Your wellbeing is not an afterthought here. We're committed to a safe, supportive environment backed by real safety standards, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and a Mental Health First Aid network.

Small clinic feel. Big network behind you.

Brighton Vet is proudly part of VetPartners – a connected community of 270+ clinics and 2000+ vets and nurses across Australia and New Zealand. That means the warmth of a local clinic, backed by a network that genuinely invests in your growth, your wellbeing, and your future.

* Everyday discounts & perks – fuel, groceries, entertainment, health insurance, and more
* Real career pathways – whether you want to deepen your clinical interests, step into leadership, or explore opportunities across the network, we'll back you every step of the way
* Health & wellbeing support – EAP, Mental Health First Aid network, and fitness benefits
* Paid parental leave – flexible programs for primary and secondary carers, plus a return‐to‐work bonus
* Pet benefits – savings on pet essentials and insurance for your own furry companions
