Located in the West End, this company continues to expand its market share by delivering exceptional service, advice and expertise to their clients. With the ongoing growth and solid business strategy in place, they are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper / Assistant Accountant to join their business.
Reporting to the Directors and working closely with the company's external Accountant, you will be responsible for the day to day accounting functions ensuring integrity in the numbers and accurate and timely reporting.
Key responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
* Process invoices, payments, and expense claims in a timely manner
* Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts
* Prepare and process payroll, including superannuation and leave entitlements
* Assist with BAS/IAS preparation and lodgement
* Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting
* Maintain and update the general ledger and chart of accounts
* Prepare financial reports, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets
* Liaise with the external Accountant
* Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
* Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records
* Support management with ad hoc financial tasks and process improvement
This role requires a high level of technical knowledge, the ability to problem solve and previous experience working on MYOB. Experience with Simpro will be highly regarded although training with be provided.
