Job Description:
We are seeking a Patient Service Team Lead to provide day-to-day leadership of the patient services team, ensuring they are motivated, engaged and on track to deliver exceptional patient centred services. The successful candidate will have experience in managing and leading a team, with a strong focus on customer service, medical administration, and effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide direction, supervision, support and recognition of staff activities and promote collaboration, cooperation and teamwork through effective leadership and management strategies.
* Support the development of patient focussed change strategies, programs and initiatives that meet the vision and ethos of our organisation.
* Maintain high level of patient services by meeting patient needs, monitoring and reacting to patient feedback.
* Gain a clear understanding of funding mechanisms related to Radiation Oncology billings, Medicare and the Medicare Safety Net.
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, providing guidance and coaching where necessary.
* Excellent customer service skills, with experience in a healthcare environment.
* Strong medical administration and reception management skills.
* Able to communicate effectively with patients, staff and other stakeholders.
* Possess knowledge of clinical administration systems and Microsoft Office software.
* High level Medical accounts processing skills including knowledge of Medicare, DVA and private health funds.
