Job Description Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees. Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation. Address and resolve payroll-related queries from employees and management. Prepare and process superannuation contributions and tax obligations. Reconcile payroll accounts and provide reports as required. Collaborate with the Accounting & Finance team to ensure smooth operations. Assist in the implementation of payroll system updates or changes. Support the team with ad-hoc payroll tasks as needed. The Successful Applicant A successful Payroll Officer should have: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 3 years payroll experience in high-volume environments (transport, logistics, manufacturing, or similar preferred). Solid award/EBA interpretation and exposure to weekly payroll cycles. Proficient with payroll systems and confident with Excel (VLOOKUP & pivots). Meticulous attention to detail, strong reconciliation skills, and a calm, deadline-first mindset. Clear communicator who builds effective relationships with operations and finance. Available to start quickly and commit for the full contract, with interest in permanency.
