Role
The Role: The Australian Medical Association (WA) Financial Services division is seeking to appoint an Accounts & Admin Assistant to its team based at the head office in Nedlands. You will play an important role by ensuring financial transactions are reconciled with accuracy. Also, you will enjoy a friendly team environment by offering a high standard of office support and assistance to the Insurance Broking team. As a self-starter, you won't need any prior experience within the Insurance sector. All we ask for is a keen attention to detail and the ability to adopt an accurate routine using our bespoke IT system. By establishing your rhythm, you will be able to own the role and learn more from the team.
Responsibilities
* Ensure client's Insurance premium payments are received and banked daily.
* Bank Account Reconciliations will need to be meticulously maintained.
* You will control the debtor management arrangements.
* Assist with record management for internal reporting and audits.
* Address ad-hoc accounting inquiries.
* Control all general office administration tasks – mail, answering and directing telephone calls, filing, data entry, typing correspondence, occasional printing and binding, maintenance of and ordering office supplies.
* As a front-line ambassador, you will meet and greet visitors and organise refreshments for client meetings, etc.
* Assist the team by creating and maintaining client files and records as needed.
* Provide support and respond to enquiries and requests for action from the Insurance Broking team.
Skills and Qualifications
* Literacy in technology and systems, in particular word processing and spreadsheet packages.
* A strong analytical and problem-solving mind with a proactive attitude.
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple processes concurrently with keen attention to detail.
* Demonstrated capacity and willingness to learn and develop new skills.
* Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
* Team-oriented approach and willingness to contribute to a positive team environment.
