About The Company
At EatClub, we believe restaurants and bars are the beating heart of every city's culture. Whether it's discovering a hidden gem, grabbing a late-night takeaway, or meeting friends for a drink, our mission is simple: help the hospitality industry thrive through smart, powerful tech.
Our platform helps over 2 million customers discover top restaurants and access real-time deals that save them up to 50% off the bill. We empower more than 4,000 venues to fill empty tables, increase foot traffic, and maximise revenue.
Recently ranked #11 on the 2025 Deloitte Tech Fast 50 Now is an exciting time to join our team. Initially co-founded by Marco Pierre White and leaders in the food tech scene, we're now a 150+ person scaleup that's growing fast and making waves in the industry.
Why You'll Love Working With Us
Join a 150+ person scale-up across Australia and the UK, still early in its growth journey
A rare opportunity to build the FP&A function from the ground up - systems, models, and ways of working
High exposure to the CFO, CEO, and Board, with real influence on strategy and decision-making
Work in a fast-moving environment where your thinking, judgment, and execution visibly shape outcomes
The chance to leave a lasting footprint on how the business plans, measures, and scales
A Day-in-the-Life of our Head of FP&A
This role exists because the business has outgrown founder-style finance and now needs a senior, hands-on FP&A leader to support its next phase of growth.
You'll step into a true scale-up environment where structure is still being built. Some days you'll be deep in models, stress-testing assumptions, refining forecasts, and building scenarios to support funding or strategic decisions. Other days you'll be partnering with the CFO, CEO, and functional leaders to translate numbers into insight, challenge thinking, and guide trade-offs.
You'll operate as the owner of planning and performance designing the FP&A systems, frameworks, and rhythms that help the business understand where it's going, what's working, and what needs to change. This is not a maintenance role. You will be building the FP&A function end-to-end.
Types of projects you'll be working on at EatClub

Partner with the CFO on fundraising models, board scenarios, and strategic initiatives
Executive and Board reporting
Own Board-level monthly reporting, including performance commentary, variance analysis and forward-looking insights
Prepare and present materials for ELT and Board meetings, focusing on clarity, drivers and decision implications rather than raw numbers
Act as a trusted finance partner to the CEO and ELT, helping shape strategy through data-driven insights

Prior experience as a Head of FP&A in a scaling, preferably marketplace business
Experience implementing or operating FP&A systems
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
Advanced Excel modelling capability
Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills
It would be extra awesome if you also had…

Exposure to fundraising, investor reporting, or Board-level modelling
Experience in fast-growing, ambiguous environments where systems are still evolving
You are…
A hands-on leader with a strong ownership mindset
Comfortable operating at both strategic and detailed levels
Energised by building systems, automating processes, and improving how work gets done
An independent thinker who can operate with ambiguity and make sound judgement calls
A strong communicator who can translate financial complexity into clear insights for non-finance stakeholders
If you do a good job…
You'll build an FP&A function that leadership genuinely relies on, providing clarity, foresight, and confidence in decision-making. Your models and insights will shape strategy, funding conversations, and growth priorities, and your work will become the backbone of how the business plans and measures success as it scales.
Maybe this role is not for you if…
You prefer highly structured environments with established processes and rigid hierarchies
You're uncomfortable with pace, change, or evolving priorities
You expect perfect data and fully formed systems from day one
One last note: even if you feel that you don't meet all the criteria above, we encourage you to apply. Past work experience is not the only indicator of future success, and we are on the look out for hungry talent who wants to grow with us. So if you want to be a part of something remarkable, then we're excited to hear from you.
