As a professional in the baking industry, you will play a pivotal role in creating visually appealing cakes for customers.
About the Role
Your responsibility will be to ensure that all cakes are properly prepared, decorated and packaged according to company standards.
* Plan daily production by checking cake order stands for special orders.
* Pull stock from freezers or coolers to fill merchandising areas as per production schedules.
* Remove products from pans and garnish baked cheesecakes, seasonal pies, and cakes following assembly instructions in the Cake Decorating Manual.
* Place finished products on racks and transfer them to coolers, freezers, or wrapping areas.
* Maintain a clean and organized decorating area and follow proper bakery department safety and security procedures and standards.
* Ensure correct date labeling is completed and follow SSOP guidelines for cleaning and sanitation of all equipment.
* Complete and comply with the 11 Commandments of Quality Assurance, Food Safety Certification, and all safety training required by the warehouse and Bakery Department.
* Provide prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers.
* Operate various bakery equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* School Certificate or relevant apprenticeship (Trade Certificate).
* Experience in cake decorating or comparable field.
* Basic math skills.
