About the Role
We're seeking experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanics to join our team in Dysart and the Galilee Basin. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you'll be responsible for maintaining our mobile plant units (MPUs) and ancillary equipment.
* Maintaining MPUs and other equipment requires a strong understanding of mechanical technologies and problem-solving skills.
* You'll need to provide site-based assistance with breakdowns, diagnostics, and fault finding, using your expertise to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
Our ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle or Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, along with previous experience in maintaining MPUs, MMU's, or HR vehicles. Standard 11 certification is desirable, as is a current Queensland Explosives Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and repair mobile plant units and ancillary equipment
* Provide on-site assistance with breakdowns and fault finding
* Work independently and as part of a team to achieve maintenance objectives
To succeed in this role, you'll need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the physical fitness to work in demanding environments. You should also be able to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen.
