Your new role as a workshop Plant Mechanic will report to the Workshop Supervisor in a permanent full time residential position based in Newman.
The Plant Mechanic is responsible for carrying scheduled maintenance, service and repairs including diagnosing all Caterpillar machines.
This WesTrac branch is in Newman WA and is an authorised Caterpillar dealership where you can find a wide range of Cat products, parts, services and technologies. Our Newman team provides Cat machinery solutions to suit any earthmoving business, including both new and used equipment sales, heavy equipment rental, as well as parts, servicing, and merchandise.
Location: Newman
Roster: 14D, 7O – 12.5 hrs each day (inc. of 30 minutes meal break)
What You'll Do:Perform scheduled and daily maintenance servicing and inspections of mobile mining earthmoving and ancillary plant equipment.Maintain accurate lubricant records and machine hours of each equipment. Providing support to our Tradespersons through the maintenance process safely and efficiently.Report faults/defects and complete service reports using CAT Inspect.Forklift operations. Implement product improvement plan.
Skills & Experience:Australian Drivers LicenceAustralian recognised Heavy Mobile Plant Technology trade certificate with post trade experience. High Risk Work LicenceStrong computer literacy with verbal and written communication skills.Experience in maintenance servicing of heavy equipment (mobile plant / ancillary).Excellent customer service and safety focused. Confident to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team.
