Ridecheck Vehicle Inspections – Contracted Mobile Vehicle Inspector (Trial Phase)
Ridecheck is a growing pre-purchase vehicle inspection business supporting buyers across Melbourne and surrounding suburbs. We provide clear, honest, and detailed inspection reports to help customers make confident purchasing decisions.
We are currently seeking contracted qualified mechanics to join us as Mobile Vehicle Inspectors. This is flexible, independent work designed to supplement your existing job or business.
About the Role:
As a Mobile Vehicle Inspector, you'll start your day from home, travel directly to each booked inspection, and carry out a thorough pre-purchase vehicle check.
This is a contractor position, with inspections offered as they become available. Job volume will start low during this trial phase.
What We're Looking For:
* Qualified motor mechanic (Australian trade qualification required)
* Experience diagnosing and assessing a range of vehicles
* Ability to identify mechanical, cosmetic, underbody, and structural issues
* Full Australian working rights
* Full driver's licence
* Professional, reliable, and well‑presented
* Comfortable using a smartphone or mobile device for photos and notes
Contractor Requirements:
* Own ABN (Australian Business Number)
* Own public liability insurance
* Own vehicle and basic inspection equipment (scan tool, jack/ramps, etc.)
* Ability to travel to locations throughout Melbourne and surrounding suburbs

Earning Structure:
This is a paid‑per‑inspection role.
Inspections generally take 60–90 minutes.
As this is our contractor trial phase, the number of inspections offered will start low.
