About the company/role:
Plastics manufacturing company, based in the Southeast suburb of Melbourne. Permanent opportunity. Must be flexible to work across day, afternoon and night shifts.
Duties/responsibilities (but not limited to):
* Install and remove tools/die in blow moulding machines
* Perform machine setup and calibration to meet production specifications
* Conduct trial runs and quality checks
* Troubleshoot issues and adjust machine parameters
* Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs
* Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet output targets
* Ensure safety and compliance with operational procedures
Skills/experience required:
* Prior experience as a Die Setter or similar role within a manufacturing environment (plastics ideally)
* Sound knowledge across injection, stretch and extrusion blow moulding machines
* Strong mechanical aptitude
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
* Good communication and teamwork abilities
* Forklift license desirable but not essential
* Commitment to safety and quality standards
