ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a dedicated ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE CLERK whose experience has been focused on banking, bank reconciliations and debt collections, and who can cope with high volume accounts.
* Daily cash and cheque banking
* Bank reconciliations for bank accounts in two locations using two different DMS (REVNext and Pentana ERA)
* Weekly and monthly cash sales / debtors reporting (to Financial Controller and General Manager)
* Review outstanding accounts and following through to collection
* Daily monitoring and resolution of account queries - resolving customers queries via phone/email
* Reconciling cash sales, trade debtors, vehicle debtors
* Maintain debtor trial balance within terms of trading
* Monthly debtors' statements
* Prepare and processing 30 days account applications
* Control and maintenance of 30 days account customers
* Debtors' reconciliation, collection and reporting
* Build strong relationships with external customers and internal stakeholders to ensure debt is collected within the agreed time frame
* Ad hoc duties (i.e covering for reception)
You must have your own transport as public transport in the area is limited.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
* Proficient in MS Office including MS Excel
* Ability to switch and work on two separate DMS
* Knowledge of credit and collection procedures
* Attention to detail and data entry skills
* Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounts receivable principles
* Ability to investigate customer queries
* Strong reconciliation & allocations experience
* Fluent English written & verbal skills
* Confident in and ability to communicate on all levels
* Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
* The ability to think on your feet and overcome problems
* A positive mindset and the ability to smile when the pressure is on
DESIRABLE SKILLS
* Motor industry experience highly regarded
* 1-2 years debtors experience in Australia
