Australia's acquisition of conventionally-armed, nuclear-powered submarines is a historic and transformational undertaking. The Optimal Pathway announced on March 2023, will deliver Australia a world-class capability that will see our nation become one of only seven countries that operate nuclear-powered submarines.
This significant undertaking presents an exciting opportunity for dedicated, committed and aspirational leaders to lead, develop and shape the Australian Nuclear Submarine Program.
Your Role
The Program Costing branch head is accountable for the delivery of:
* Cost estimation services for the NPS Program to ensure that estimates align with Defence Policy, provide an integrated cost view of the Program that is reviewed and quality assured against scope and schedule milestones.
* Strategic program cost advice in order to support funding being sought through Government submissions for the NPS Program.
You will work in partnership with internal delivery teams and external stakeholders to address program-costing requirements, manage financial risk, and build a resilient ASA financial position that supports the current and future program requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will need to have strong leadership skills and ability to motivate a team to achieve goals.
