About the role

The Senior Manager, Data Analytics is a leadership role accountable for shaping the execution of Tyro's analytics strategy, driving enterprise-wide insight maturity, and embedding data-driven decision-making at the builder and operational level.

This role leads a team of analysts and acts as a partner to senior leaders across Finance, Growth, Product and Marketing. The focus is on analytics that supports prioritisation, and influence ensuring analytics effort is tightly aligned to revenue growth, product optimisation, customer outcomes, and investment decisions.

The role is expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, influencing how data analytics is delivered rather than simply responding to requests, and ensuring data is used as a core competitive asset for Tyro.

What you'll do Analytics Strategy
* Execute Tyro's analytics and insights strategy, aligned to enterprise objectives and growth priorities.
* Proactively identify opportunities to drive revenue growth, product optimisation, cost efficiency, and customer lifetime value through data.
* Translate corporate and business unit strategy into a clear analytics roadmap with measurable commercial outcomes.
* Act as a steward of "one version of the truth" for metrics across Tyro.
Senior Stakeholder Partnership
* Partner with Senior Leadership as a trusted advisor, providing insight‐led guidance on strategic decisions.
* Shape discussions through forward‐looking insights, trends, scenario analysis, and clear commercial narratives.
* Challenge assumptions constructively using data, ensuring decisions are evidence‐based and outcome‐focused.
* Manage complex, competing stakeholder priorities while maintaining focus on enterprise value creation.
Team Leadership and Capability Building
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high‐performing team of data analysts, fostering strong commercial thinking and accountability for impact.
* Set clear standards for insight quality, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement.
* Build team capability in commercial acumen, influence, and advanced analytics concepts.
* Ensure succession planning and scalable team design to support future growth.
Governance
* Establish and enforce robust metric definitions, governance frameworks, and insight standards across the organisation.
* Ensure analytics outputs are trusted, consistent, and directly tied to decision‐making processes.
* Oversee the development of dashboards, executive reporting, and strategic analysis that enable faster, better decisions.
* Champion self‐service analytics where appropriate, while maintaining quality and governance.
Advance and Predictive Insights
* Translate advanced analytical outputs into commercially meaningful insights for senior stakeholders.
* Partner with data science and engineering functions to ensure analytics capability evolves in line with business needs.
Risk and Regulatory Awareness
* Ensure analytics practices comply with regulatory, financial, and data governance requirements.
* Identify and manage risks associated with data usage, interpretation, and decision reliance.
* Promote a strong risk‐aware culture within the analytics function.
What you'll bring
* 8+ years' experience in analytics, commercial insights, strategy, or related roles, including people leadership.
* Proven track record of driving measurable commercial outcomes through data and insights.
* Strong executive presence with demonstrated ability to influence at Senior Leadership level.
* Deep understanding of commercial metrics, pricing, customer economics, and growth drivers.
* Strong understanding of modern analytics platforms and BI tools (hands‐on experience beneficial but not core).
* Experience operating in complex, fast‐paced, or regulated environments.
* Exceptional communication, storytelling, and strategic thinking capabilities.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline; postgraduate qualifications desirable.
