Job Description
Transform the industry by joining a sustainable transformation initiative. We are seeking experienced Painter/Blasters to join our service team in a newly built facility.
This position is on an 8/6 roster and is residential in Karratha. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience as a Painter, with experience in blasting, operating hand/power tools, and knowledge of safe work practices.
* Dressing items with a grinder for paint prepping
* Performing routine maintenance of production tools
* Basic process planning applicable to paint and blast shop planning activities
* Operating hand tools and power tools
* Operating a forklift/crane where required
* Ordering materials for replacement of consumable items
* Assisting in the provision of on the job training
* Manual handling of loads with weights varying between 5-20kg
* Adhering to safe work practices and reporting immediately any unsafe acts or equipment
Required Skills and Qualifications
* At least 3-5 years relevant experience as a Painter
* Experience with blasting
* Experience with blasting specifications
* Experience in operating hand/power tools
* Knowledge and experience in safe work practices
* Good planning and organizing skills to meet deadlines
* Basic communication skills including reading
* Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings
* Basic mathematical ability
