Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced General Manager of Technology to drive our technology initiatives and digital transformation across our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology management within the manufacturing sector, coupled with a strategic mindset and a passion for innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement technology strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
Oversee the integration of advanced manufacturing technologies to optimise production processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technology needs and solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
Manage technology budgets and ensure effective allocation of resources.
Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to keep the company at the forefront of technology.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in technology applications.
Key Objectives:
Current IT Systems Review: Conduct a thorough assessment of existing technology systems, identifying gaps and areas for improvement. This includes evaluating software applications, hardware infrastructure, and overall system performance.
Short-Term Projects: Implement quick wins that can improve current operations, such as streamlining processes, upgrading software, or addressing immediate technical issues to enhance productivity.
Transformational Projects: Spearhead innovative projects aimed at transforming the business through technology, including adopting new technologies, implementing automation, or enhancing data analytics to support business decision-making.
Qualifications:
Degree in information technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in a technology leadership role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in food processing.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and the application of technology in optimising operations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Strategic thinker with a focus on innovation and improvement.
