About the Role
* The Executive Assistant role will be part of Telstra's Corporate Affairs, Risk & Legal (CARL) function and will play a critical part in enabling senior leaders and their teams to deliver on strategic, regulatory, legal and external affairs priorities.
* Supporting two Executives, this role helps create the conditions for smooth operations, strong stakeholder engagement and high impact delivery across one of Telstra's most dynamic and high‐profile functions.
* This is a trusted, high judgement role suited to someone who thrives in a fast‐paced environment, demonstrates discretion and professionalism, and brings a proactive, solutions focused mindset to Executive Support.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The role will be based in Canberra, ACT and will be in HYBRID work environment.

What You'll Do
Executive Support & Coordination
* Provide high‐quality, proactive and confidential support to two CARL Executives.
* Manage complex and fast‐moving calendars, meetings and forward planning across internal and external stakeholders.
* Anticipate upcoming commitments and ensure all briefings, papers and pre‐reads are prepared and received in advance.
* Coordinate domestic and international travel, ensuring alignment with Executive priorities.
* Act as a trusted ambassador for the Executive and for CARL.
Operational Excellence & Governance Support
* Apply discipline to approvals, deadlines, business processes and compliance activities.
* Support core CARL governance processes, including board and regulatory reporting, policy governance and planning cycles.
* Assist with preparation of agendas, papers, minutes and action tracking for leadership meetings and cross‐functional forums.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
* Draft, edit and coordinate communications, presentations and responses for Executive review.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships across the CEO's office, CARL leadership, Executive Assistants, Legal, Government Relations and external partners.
* Support CARL engagement initiatives including onboarding, events, team activities and cultural programs.
Administrative & Team Support
* Partner closely with the CARL Business Support team to ensure consistent and high‐quality service delivery across the function.
* Assist with document formatting and preparation of professional materials (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF).
* Provide support on special projects and stakeholder events as required.
About You
You are an experienced Executive Assistant who brings confidence, judgement and initiative to everything you do. You are organized, adaptable and comfortable operating at pace while managing multiple priorities.
You will bring these skills and experiences to successful in the role:
* Proven experience supporting senior leaders in complex and fast‐moving environments.
* Exceptional organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
* High‐level written communication skills, with confidence drafting Executive‐level material.
* Strong stakeholder management and relationship‐building capability.
* High levels of discretion, professionalism and integrity when handling sensitive matters.
* Medium to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint).
* A proactive, problem‐solving mindset, with the ability to take ownership and drive issues through to resolution.
Highly desirable qualification(s)
* Experience supporting Executives in government, regulatory, public policy, or government relations environments
