Indigenous Employment Program - Client Support Officer

Fixed Term Full Time until 30 June 2028

Location: Morwell

Salary Range: $80,810.26 - $89,000.65 plus 12% Superannuation

Department: Business and Economic Development

The position is identified as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander position in accordance with the provisions of Section 14a of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.

We are seeking an Indigenous Employment Program - Client Support Officer to mentor and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander program participants. This role will also serve as the primary contact for the broader community to provide tailored training and employment guidance, support, and advice to meet individual needs.

About This Role

As a Client Support Officer, you are responsible for supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander jobseekers by coordinating training programs to meet their individual needs. You will also provide tailored mentoring and employment guidance, promote and participate in employment events, expos, and networking opportunities, and work with community and industry stakeholders to broaden job access, all within a culturally-safe and supportive environment.

About You

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to efficiently collaborate with service providers to enhance support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants.

You must have exceptional time management skills and be able to set priorities, plan and organise own work, and work together to contribute to the determined priorities of the role.

You will have:
* Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander barriers to employment as demonstrated through relevant experience, skills or qualifications.
* Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
* Demonstrated administrative experience with ability to transfer skills and knowledge.
* Experience in delivering employment services is desirable.
* Experience in case management and client support

Successful applicants are required to satisfactorily obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children's Check.
