Corporate Social Media Officer Role

Job Description:
The Corporate Social Media Officer will be responsible for writing, editing, scheduling, and publishing content across the council's social platforms. This includes planning and delivering both organic and paid social media campaigns, moderating community interactions, and providing regular performance reporting and data insights.
* Write, edit, schedule, and publish content across Council's social platforms
* Manage and monitor social media channels using tools like Hootsuite
* Plan and deliver both organic and paid social media campaigns
* Moderate community interactions and respond to messages in line with guidelines
* Provide regular performance reporting and data insights
* Support and train internal stakeholders on social media best practices
* Develop the organic social media content calendar
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have experience in managing social media accounts in a professional setting, knowledge of Hootsuite, content planning and scheduling, experience with paid social advertising and reporting, strong writing, editing, and communication skills, and a passion for digital engagement and community building.
