The Opportunity
Join Western Sydney University in a senior role that champions integrity, fairness, and trust. As a Complex Case Manager, you'll lead the development and implementation of university-wide frameworks for managing serious misconduct and complaints, ensuring alignment with institutional values, regulatory obligations, and sector best practice.
You'll manage the most sensitive and complex cases, including public interest disclosures, research integrity matters, ICAC and Ombudsman investigations, and gendered violence cases. This role requires exceptional judgment, discretion, and the ability to navigate high-stakes situations with professionalism and empathy.
* Design and implement complaint and misconduct frameworks across the University.
* Manage complex, high-risk cases with impartiality and integrity.
* Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on emerging risks and systemic issues.
* Lead investigations, prepare detailed reports, and liaise with regulators.
* Build capability through staff training and governance initiatives.
This is a full-time, ongoing position based at our Hawkesbury and Parramatta South campus, with hybrid working arrangements available.

About You
You're an experienced investigator who values fairness, integrity, and creating a safe, respectful environment. You bring expertise in managing serious and sensitive complaints—such as public interest disclosures, research integrity matters, and gendered violence—with professionalism and impartiality.
You have a strong understanding of procedural fairness and relevant legislation, and you're confident navigating complex, high-stakes situations. Your communication skills allow you to build trust, influence senior leaders, and translate complex policies into clear advice. Highly organised and detail-oriented, you balance strategic thinking with hands-on case management.

Remuneration Package:
HEW Level 9 $159,739 to $170,588 p.a. (comprising Salary of $134,981 to $144,149 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading).
