We are currently seeking a diligent, pragmatic and solution focussed and hand on Quality Improvement Specialist to join Catholic Healthcare's broader Practice, Quality & Risk team.
You will manage the clinical and accreditation auditing program across a portfolio of Residential Aged Care homes including locations in Dubbo, Forbes, Bathurst, Orange, Blue Mountains, Norwest, and 2 homes in Queensland, as well as other areas at times of conducting audits on other regions.
As this role will involve frequent travelling to Homes across the region, a valid driver's licence and own motor vehicle is essential. Your base location will be in one of the homes in your region.
This role will be joining our established Quality Improvement Specialist Team and will report to the Quality Manager. You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the quality assurance and improvement program across homes, identifying opportunities for improvement, supporting high quality care and service delivery in accordance with relevant regulations and ensure compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards.
Your passion for quality care, collaborative approach and ability to develop strong trusted partnerships with your stakeholders, will support your success.
Within this role you'll be responsible for:
* Conducting timely, accurate and comprehensive audits of quality of care standards and pre-accreditation assessments for an allocated RAC region
* Tracking, reporting and analysing high impact, high clinical risk, and clinical indicators
* Recommending and supporting quality of care improvements to address identified non-compliance
* Providing support and coaching in quality assurance, risk identification, mitigation and continuous improvement to key stakeholders
The ideal applicant will have excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and coach others.
Additionally, you'll have;
* Registered Nurse with AHPRA
* Experience in auditing or ISO qualifications - preferred
* 5 plus years' experience in a Clinical field and /or quality assessment role
* Strong analytical skills and demonstrated experience in implementation of internal audit and quality management programs
* Strong understanding of Legislation at all levels for Aged Care/ NDIS
* Highly developed computer skills and ability to communicate complex information
* Ability to drive operational performance and change management to meet targets
* Proven skills in meeting timeframes and the capacity to prioritise and delegate tasks
* Flexibility to travel, Drivers Licence & own Vehicle - kms reimbursd
* Willingness to apply for a Police Check & NDISWC
