About the Opportunity
As a graduate or early-career member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will begin developing your expertise in specialised foot and lower limb care that helps clients maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life under the guidance of experienced professionals.
Building on your foundational clinical knowledge, you will learn to conduct detailed assessments and develop customised treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices while addressing individual client needs with mentorship and support from senior colleagues.
Your comprehensive care approach will develop to include thorough evaluations, preventative education, therapeutic interventions, and practical guidance on footwear and lifestyle modifications, all delivered in close partnership with clients and their support systems as you grow your confidence and clinical expertise.
About You
The ideal candidate is a recent graduate or early-career podiatrist who is passionate about delivering high-quality podiatric care to seniors and eager to develop expertise in promoting their mobility and wellbeing through structured learning and mentorship.
You will demonstrate foundational understanding of foot conditions and show enthusiasm for developing tailored care plans that address the complex physical, emotional, and cultural needs of older adults, including those experiencing cognitive decline, with the support of experienced team members.
As an emerging clinician, you will combine your clinical training with exceptional people skills and genuine compassion, ready to build strong relationships with patients, their families, and healthcare colleagues while delivering empathetic, person-centred care in a supportive learning environment.
Essential Criteria
* Recent graduation or early-career podiatrist (0-2 years experience)
* Registration or eligibility for registration with the Podiatry Board of Australia
* Driver's License
* National Police Check
* Enthusiasm for working with older adults and commitment to professional development
Desirable
* Student or graduate membership of the Australian Podiatry Association
* Clinical placement experience in geriatric or community settings
