Join a dynamic perioperative team at Campbelltown Hospital Operating Theatres as an Operations Assistant, where you will develop and enhance your technical skills while supporting safe patient care. In this hands‑on role, you will assist with the safe transportation and positioning of patients, maintain the cleanliness of theatres and help ensure smooth theatre flow. You will contribute to a safe work environment by following health and safety procedures, reporting hazards or incidents, and communicating effectively with all levels of staff to support seamless theatre operations.
* Safely transport patients to and from operating theatres
* Maintain theatre cleanliness and support a safe, hygienic environment
* Assist with safe patient positioning and contribute to theatre workflow
* Follow workplace health and safety policies and report hazards or incidents promptly
* Communicate effectively with staff at all levels to support smooth perioperative operations

* Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and escalate issues appropriately
* Understanding of infection control and manual handling principles used in theatres
* Operating theatre experience or willingness to learn the Operating Assistant role
* Able to work a rotating roster and contribute to a collaborative team
* Accurate verbal and written communication skills, manual‑handling capability and basic computer skills
