Midwifery Academic Leader
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled senior lecturer in midwifery to contribute to the educational preparation of midwives at postgraduate diploma level.
About the Role
* This leadership position will focus on developing and leading midwifery curriculum and placements, aimed at expanding Tasmania's and Australia's midwifery workforce.
* The successful candidate will assist in fostering a culture that enables high levels of collaboration and productivity to support the university's vision.
Key Responsibilities
* Making a sustained contribution to the university in achieving its strategic objectives and fulfilling operational responsibilities.
* Providing leadership in developing and delivering high-quality postgraduate diploma-level curriculum and supporting students working in practice.
* Delivering scholarly teaching in online and simulation laboratory coursework.
* Undertaking research of national and international standing, securing external funding, publishing research findings, and contributing to successful supervision of research higher degree students.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A good record of research contributions to the field of midwifery.
* Experience in university-level teaching and learning, particularly in areas related to midwifery pre-registration curricula.
* Demonstrated achievement in university-level curriculum development using flexible and innovative blended learning approaches.
