The Role:

As an Area Representative, you will play a key role in driving sales growth while ensuring operational excellence across your assigned region. This is a varied, hands-on position combining customer engagement, business development, product delivery, and depot operations.

You will regularly visit existing customers—including farms, resellers, and other key accounts—to maintain strong relationships and identify new sales opportunities. You will also proactively grow the customer base through cold calling and prospecting, representing the business in a professional and solutions-focused manner.

In addition to sales activities, you will be responsible for delivering products to customers and conducting routine visits to designated retail sites to ensure they are operating to the highest standards of presentation, compliance, and safety.

The role also includes oversight of depot operations, including warehousing and inventory management, maintaining depot cleanliness and upkeep, and supporting efficient day-to-day operations. You will actively monitor and report on HSSE requirements, conduct safety checks and inspections, and help ensure all activities are carried out in line with company policies and regulatory obligations.

This role suits a self-motivated individual who enjoys working independently, building relationships, and balancing sales responsibilities with operational and safety-focused tasks.

* Demonstrate a strong work ethic with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while consistently upholding company values with integrity and high ethical standards

* Take ownership of your area and depots, treating them as if they were your own
* Consistently support and demonstrate company values, displaying integrity and high ethical standards at all times
* Have a genuine commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement

Qualifications and Skills

* Certificate IV in Business (Sales) or demonstrated prior experience in a similar role
* Current and valid motor vehicle driver's license (essential)
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
* Knowledge of, or experience within relevant industries Purtill Group operates within will be highly regarded
