Residential Support Worker
We are seeking experienced professionals to support vulnerable young people in a residential setting.
This role involves working with up to 5 young people, assisting them to achieve their goals and develop independence. Successful candidates will have prior experience working with children and young people, a comprehensive understanding of childhood trauma and its impacts, and be willing to obtain a Certificate IV in Youth Work or relevant qualification.
The key responsibilities include:
* Promoting and assisting young people to achieve goals identified in Individual Case Plans
* Assisting young people to develop life skills and build community networks
* SUPPORTING YOUNG PEOPLE'S INTERESTS AND ESTABLISHING A RAPPORT TO COLLABORATE EFFECTIVELY
* Managing behavioural escalations and assisting the young person to co-regulate emotionally
* Domestic duties and supporting the young person to learn how to look after themselves
