**About the role
The role of Senior Dental Assistant CSSD (Central Sterilisation Service Department) will provide leadership to the CSSD team in West Moreton Hospital Health Service (WMHHS).
The key accountabilities of the role include:
Actively maintain compliance with safety requirements in the CSSD ensuring compliance with AS 5369 and other standards and guidelines relevant to the safe operation of a CSSD
Build and maintain strong relationships within the oral health CSSD team, encouraging collaboration to improve and enable high standard of services.
Facilitate opportunities for CSSD team members to build skills, competence and make well informed decisions.
Provide timely and relevant feedback to support and improve CSSD team function
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated high standard written and verbal communication and leadership skills
Demonstrate the ability to lead and develop a team, and work with other leaders from other work areas to deliver safe, quality care to the community
Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement and effective change management skills
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of AS 4187 and other standards and guidelines relevant to the safe operation of a CSS
Mandatory Requirements:
Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
Appointment at Senior Dental Assistant requires an employee to possess a pre-requisite qualification of one of the following:
Possession of Certificate III in Sterilisation Services
Possession of Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent.
