Retail Assistant – Customer Service & Postal Operations
Role Overview
We are looking for a reliable, motivated, and customer-focused Retail Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will assist customers with postal services and retail purchases while helping maintain an organized and welcoming store environment. Key Requirement (Essential):
Applicants must be available to work Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Availability during these hours is a mandatory requirement for this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver outstanding in-store customer service and assist with postal and retail enquiries.
* Process postal transactions including sending mail, parcels, and providing required forms or information.
* Assist customers with retail purchases including office supplies, gifts, and other store products.
* Accurately handle cash, EFTPOS, and other electronic transactions.
* Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and product displays.
* Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and achieve store goals.
* Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in retail, customer service, or a similar role is preferred.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
* Basic math skills and confidence handling cash transactions.
* Friendly, positive attitude with a strong customer-first mindset.
Availability & Flexibility
* Must be available Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
* Flexibility to work weekends when required.
* Must be willing to work additional shifts on short notice when needed to support the team.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $26.55 – $33.19 per hour
