This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people and their families, working as part of a supportive and multidisciplinary team.ICAMHS is a specialist Mental Health service which provides Mental Health assessment, recommendation and therapy-based intervention to children and young people and their parents/carers who live in the Bankstown region.We are a dynamic multidisciplinary team who seek to deliver comprehensive treatment and care to children and young people living with moderate to severe mental illness Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm.Collaborative and supportive team environmentOngoing opportunities for training and developmentBeing a pool clinician is unique! You will be filling a vacancy in the team listed; as other vacancies arise throughout our service you may be required to transfer into another position and share your skills within our service!You will be based at Bansktown, however future opportunities may also present at Ingleburn, Campbelltown, Ambarvale, Liverpool, Fairfield and Wollondilly based mental health services.The CMH Team are committed to providing a supportive environment where staff are empowered to achieve their full potential.What You'll Be DoingThe Mental Health Professional is responsible for providing evidence-based, strengths focused, recovery orientated assessment and treatment within a multi-disciplinary team and coordinating consumers’ recovery plans. The role is also responsible for non-clinical tasks including participation in quality improvement activities, clinical supervision and participation in administrative responsibilities as required.Where You'll Be WorkingSWSLHD Community Mental Health Services provide comprehensive, community-based mental health care across South Western Sydney. These services cater to different age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and older persons, ensuring specialised care throughout various life stages.The multidisciplinary teams offer a range of supports, including mental health assessments, crisis intervention, care coordination, and therapy. They work closely with inpatient services, GPs, and other community organisations to provide holistic care.The focus on community health and wellbeing makes SWSLHD Community Mental Health Services an ideal place to work, providing opportunities for professional growth and the chance to make a meaningful impact on the community.How To ApplyTo be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible. View our application guide for information on how to respond to criteria and improve your application.Relevant qualifications as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or qualified Social Worker eligible for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), or CSU Graduates: Bachelor of Health Science (Mental Health).Please provide a detailed description of your interest and motivation in applying for this role highlighting your relevant skills & experience in providing assessment and treatment for consumers of the mental health service.Using an example, describe a time where you have had to work as part of a team to solve a problem.
