Larvotto Resources is developing the Hillgrove Antimony and Gold Project and is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Surveyor to support our team and community in Armidale, NSW. Hillgrove is located 23km east of Armidale in northern NSW. Located in the New England region, Armidale is a well-serviced regional city surrounded by natural beauty. It is centrally located between Brisbane and Sydney and is only a short drive to the popular Coffs Coast.
Location:
This role is available on a residential basis only with regional and interstate relocation packages available to Armidale, NSW.The position will be based at the Hillgrove Mine 25 mins outside of the Armidale township.
This role follows 5 days on, 2 days off roster, 4 days on, 3 days off roster (5:2) (4:3), working 10-hour shifts per day.
Position Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Surveyor with previous experience in leading high performing technical teams. Working closely with the Mine Manager, this role provides timely, accurate survey services to the underground mine. As part of the leadership team, the Senior Surveyor also plays a key role in promoting a positive safety culture and fostering continuous improvement across site operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Utilise survey equipment and adhere to best practices to efficiently produce precise survey data.
Install survey stations to provide directional control for mining operations.
Perform accurate mark-ups of all designs related to horizontal and vertical development.
Prepare high-quality survey plans and memos promptly as required.
Conduct development pick-ups and maintain consistently accurate as-built survey models.
Execute CMS surveys as needed and verify all resulting data.
Complete end-of-month surveys for both underground and surface operations.
Undertake small-scale aerial survey assignments across mining leases.
Carry out surface set outs and pickups as required.
Fulfil other miscellaneous survey-related tasks as necessary.
Maintain survey equipment to the highest standards, ensuring all instruments remain calibrated and properly adjusted.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (surveying), surveying, or a Diploma in surveying.
Tickets:
Current manual driver's license.
4WD experience, an accredited qualification in off-road driving, highly desired.
Senior First Aid Certificate/CPR Qualification, highly desired.
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years' experience as a surveyor on an Australian mine site, including at least 1 year in an underground mining environment.
Knowledge:
Proficient in using modern survey equipment (e.g. Leica Total Stations, CMS, scanners, drones).
Software Proficiency:
Skilled with Surpac and Deswik, plus strong spreadsheet and report-writing capabilities.
Driver's License:
Other Requirements:
Unrestricted rights to work in Australia.
Must be able to provide a valid National Police Clearance, obtained within the last six months upon request.
Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening, and comply with ongoing testing during employment.
