Primary objective
Coordinate, administer and develop quality training to improve the financial management and governance of all government
schools across the Northern Territory. This role may also support facilitation of other agency training requirements such as
human resources, leadership, industrial relations, and infrastructure management.
Context statement
The Finance Systems and Innovation branch is responsible for providing high quality financial and budget support services
to the Departments 156 government schools in locations ranging from urban to very remote.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Design, develop and manage a range of eLearning projects in accordance with organisational priorities.
2. Work collaboratively with subject matter experts to design, develop and review eLearning courses with interactive
content including quizzes, simulations and videos.
3. Design engaging, user-friendly eLearning modules using contemporary instructions design methodology and principles.
4. Manage scheduling, communications and recording of / reporting for allocated training.
1. Maintain, prepare and analyse training progress reports and summarise findings for team management.
2. Lead and / or participate in relevant projects.
3. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. High level knowledge of the principles, frameworks and methodologies relevant to adult education and Australian
Standards relevant to training.
2. Proven experience delivering high quality workplace training in information systems using blended approaches including
e-learning.
3. Strong understanding of adult learning principles and experience in engaging with stakeholders to design and develop
online learning course and related supporting materials in Learning Management Systems like Articulate Storyline and
Moodle.
1. Proven experience computer literacy and proficiency, including experience in the use of multimedia software, specifically
eLearning authoring tools to create SCORM files.
1. Proven experience in providing financial and governance services and / or advice in large organisations.
2. Proven experience managing multiple projects and achieving required objectives.
3. Well-developed written and verbal communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to
work with people from culturally diverse backgrounds to achieve common goals and influence outcomes.
Desirable
1. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent experience
