Hygiene & Site Services Manager
Location: Brisbane, QLD, AU
Tip Top Bakeries, a division of George Weston Foods, seeks an experienced manager to lead hygiene, sanitation, and critical site services at our Carrara bakery. This hands‐on leadership role focuses on food safety excellence, safety culture, and continuous improvement within a fast‐paced FMCG manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all hygiene and site services operations, ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, GMP, and GHP standards.
* Champion health, safety, and environmental excellence, ensuring compliance with all legislative and company requirements.
* Manage and coordinate site services including pest control, waste management, water treatment, uniforms, fire systems, security and facilities services.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles.
* Partner closely with Production, Maintenance, Safety, Quality and Supply Chain teams to support site performance.
* Lead, coach and develop the hygiene team, including performance management, engagement and capability building.
* Support and participate in internal and external audits (e.g., SQF, BRC, WQA, customer audits).
* Manage labour and operating costs in line with agreed budgets.
Qualifications
* 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment, with demonstrated leadership responsibility.
* Strong working knowledge of GMP, food safety systems (HACCP) and hygiene standards.
* Proven experience driving a high performing safety culture.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* A practical, hands‐on leadership style with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Experience leading teams through change and continuous improvement initiatives.
