The Company
Paragon Talent Solutions has been engaged to assist several Australian-owned System Integrators who provide electrical and industrial automation solutions to a broad client base across Australia.
Due to continued project demand, these organisations are expanding their engineering capability in Melbourne and have fantastic opportunities available for Control Systems Engineers.
These are permanent positions based in Melbourne, where successful candidates will support the delivery of industrial automation projects across a range of industries, including Data Centres, Manufacturing and Water/Wastewater environments.
The Position
These opportunities will suit Control Systems Engineers who enjoy delivering automation projects across industrial environments and want exposure to a variety of technologies, industries and complex engineering challenges.
As a Control Systems Engineer you will be responsible for:
* Functional design of control systems across a range of projects and industries
* Developing new PLC, SCADA and HMI systems as well as supporting and maintaining existing client systems
* Ensuring real-time data availability and that control mechanisms are operating effectively and efficiently for system operations and network development
* Configuration, testing and commissioning of control systems in the field
* Working closely with clients to understand their requirements and develop automation solutions to suit their needs
* Providing technical knowledge to clients and clearly articulating control system solutions
* Acting as a key point of contact for project-related queries

Your Experience
To be considered for these positions, you will likely have experience delivering industrial automation and control systems projects within environments such as data centres, manufacturing, water/wastewater or other heavy industrial sectors.
You will also possess:
* A degree or diploma in Computer Sciences, Computing, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or similar
* Strong competence with SCADA and PLC technologies
* Experience across the control systems project lifecycle including design, configuration and commissioning
* The ability to troubleshoot systems and clearly articulate technical solutions to clients
* Knowledge of Schneider Electric, Siemens, Rockwell, Ignition or similar control systems technologies
* Strong stakeholder management capabilities
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
