* Your first placement will focus on the government's financial framework and managing their shareholding in its assets.
* The second placement will give you the chance to contribute to projects that deliver tools and services to assist the work of parliamentarians and their staff.
* During your graduate year, you can expect to work on projects related to:
* Financial impacts, risks, and merits of new policy proposals from across all government portfolios
* Managing the government's engagement with Government Business Enterprises like NBN and Snowy Hydro
* Whole-of-government procurement and risk management
* General insurance services to other government agencies
You'll join Finance as an ongoing employee at the APS 3 level. You will have opportunities to participate in project management, undertake analysis and research assignments, and contribute to the development and implementation of policy advice and/or programs.
As a Graduate, you will have the opportunity to complete administrative tasks such as preparing briefing material, submissions, reports, or ministerial correspondence, and engage in team and departmental activities including meetings, training programs, and information sessions.
This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, so you can contribute effectively to your team and support the delivery of our goals.
