About the Role
You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Australia's fastest-growing regions. You will use your engineering expertise to assess and guide development applications, ensuring new water and sewerage connections meet high standards for quality, efficiency, and sustainability.
You will work closely with developers, consultants, and internal stakeholders to lead technical reviews, on-site inspections, and pre-start meetings, providing practical solutions that support customers and communities. Your day might involve reviewing complex infrastructure plans, negotiating development outcomes, or training others on engineering standards, all while upholding service commitments and championing safety.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity based at our Maroochydore head office.
* A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or similar qualification) is required.
* Experience interpreting and applying legislation, codes, and engineering standards in water and sewerage development assessments is essential.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary – you must be confident engaging with stakeholders, presenting technical information clearly, and negotiating outcomes.
* A customer-first mindset, with a drive to deliver quality service and practical, timely advice, is vital.
* A knack for problem-solving and continuous improvement, with a commitment to innovation and best practice, is required.
* Confidence leading site inspections, audits, and pre-start meetings to ensure works are compliant and safe is necessary.
