**Cost Controller - Brisbane/PNG**

**About the Assignment**
This position is responsible for providing cost control support to the PNG Construction & Fixed Assets team in the Production Operations division of Santos. This position will support the Cost Control Lead and provide cost control services for the PNG Construction & Fixed Assets Portfolio.
**Tasks include**:
- Manage the cost control activities for the assigned PNG Construction & Fixed Asset Portfolio.
- Prepare month end activities (Cost Transfers, Journals, Accruals, Variance Commentary).
- Coordinate and prepare overall reporting and variance analysis against approved WBS, annual budgets, and forecasts.
- Monthly preparation of the Dashboard and present to the business owners (including actuals / forecasting).
- Maintain Prism monthly - capex spends, forecasting and budgeting.
- Review/advise on EPC contractor performance reports, schedules, estimates, statistics
- Preparation of AFE/WBS templates (establish if in budget, seek appropriate internal management (and joint venture participant) approvals before issuing to Finance). Managing Budget Substitutions.
- SAP Interface - Creation of Networks to settle to applicable WBS's, WO Settlement Rule Monitoring
- Review of cost coding of C&FA and EPC related vendor invoices prior to SES'ing.
- Ensure that agreed plans, procedures, systems and guidelines are correctly implemented and followed.
- Business partnering with team leads - C&FA PNG projects & engineering (AUS and PNG based), Project Control and Finance Functional Team Members PNG, EPC Contractor Project Controls team
- Budget preparation - working with the business to collate annual, longer range budgets.
- Dispute resolution
- Housekeeping, closure of Networks, PO's & WBS's
**This assignment is initially offered for 12 months, engaged via Chandler Macleod.**
**Location for this assignment is Brisbane working full-time office hours**
**About You**
- Bachelors' degree in Engineering, Finance, Business or equivalent
- Minimum of 5-10 years of cost control experience
- Strong depth and technical competency in cost engineering, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Demonstrated understanding of project services and contracting/procurement disciplines, planning/scheduling and their relationships to cost control activities.
- Highly effective communication skills and ability to develop and present management reports at all levels, including presentations to management.
- Demonstrated interpersonal/teambuilding skills.
- Analytical/technical skills with a practical approach to problem solving.
- SAP experience in Oil and Gas environment.
- Prism experience in Oil and Gas environment - preferably across portfolio of projects
