Accounts Receivable Officer - Parental Leave Cover

The Opportunity
We are currently looking for a customer‐focused and commercially savvy Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance Team in Fremantle on a full‐time, 10‐month maximum term contract as parental leave cover. Upon completion, there may be potential for a further six‐month extension on a part‐time basis, depending on business needs.
In this varied and fast‐paced role, you will work with a wide range of customers - from global corporations to local corner stores - across diverse contracts and scenarios. You'll be the central point of contact for customer enquiries, dispute resolution and payment allocations, working closely with both Australian customers and international MSC agencies.
What you'll be doing
Manage a specific debtor ledger and follow up on outstanding accounts
Build strong relationships through direct customer contact
Allocate and reconcile payments for services rendered
Act as an intermediary between customers and internal departments
Resolve customer disputes with professionalism
Collaborate with internal teams and international MSC offices to ensure smooth resolution of issues
What we're looking for
Accounts receivable experience
A strong commitment to customer service
Ability to manage complex customer issues
Have the ability to work as part of a closely knit team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
SAP experience highly regarded but not essential
Experience within the shipping or transport industry highly regarded, however not essential
