Details:
- Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling & implementing patching and deployment of new and end-of-life systems in a 24/7 production environment with minimal impact (e.g., network switches, servers, SCADA servers).
- Monitor emails and logs, backups, network gear, and vulnerability scans.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures.
- Provide technical support for Infrastructure hardware and software.
- Participate in an on-call roster.
- Desired Skills:
- Certificate in IV in Information Technology.
- Good Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016 and above knowledge & experience
- Good Microsoft Office / O365 knowledge and skills.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Good PC and Server Hardware knowledge.
- Experience with Cisco network devices, wireless networks, and type-1 hypervisors would be highly regarded.
- Good teamwork & communication skills.
- The ability to work alone on tasks in a proactive manner.
- Good judgment skills with a strong sense for urgency and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely.
- Outstanding customer orientation, i.e., the ability to build rapport and trust quickly and influence an audience through communication to arrive at the best solution.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, i.e., active listening and ability to clearly summarize an issue in writing and verbally.
- Ability to read and write English ticket reference information on the Incident Platform
- Excellent problem-solving skills, i.e., ability to apply a highly logical and well-organised approach to analysing and resolving issues.
