About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity to lead and shape a dynamic Health, Safety and Wellbeing function within our organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to effectively manage health and safety compliance and continuously improve performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement effective health and safety frameworks, policies, systems and tools to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Achieve and maintain ISO 45001 certification.
* Continuously improve the safety management system to ensure it remains aligned with best practice and industry standards.
* Oversee the internal audit assessment program to identify areas for improvement and drive positive change.
* Set and report on key health and safety metrics and improvement plans to measure progress and success.
* Provide expert advice and assistance to our subsidiaries and associates on health and safety matters.
* Coordinate early intervention, return-to-work and workers' compensation management programs to support injured employees and minimize downtime.
* Maintain our self-insurance status in Victoria by ensuring accurate risk assessments, robust incident reporting and timely claims management.
