An established commercial construction contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to deliver a strong pipeline of projects across Tasmania. The business's bread and butter is fit-out and refurbishment, working across hospitality, office fit-out, education, recreational, and religious buildings, while also delivering select new-build projects. Project values typically range from $1M-$10M, with larger projects delivered up to $30M.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the successful on-site delivery of commercial construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and program are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Full day-to-day management of site activities from establishment to completion
* Coordination and supervision of subcontractors and suppliers
* Driving OH&S compliance and site safety culture
* Managing construction programs, sequencing, and trade interfaces
* Working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team
* Maintaining site documentation, reporting, and defect rectification
About You You Will Ideally Have
* Proven experience as a Site Manager within commercial construction
* Strong background in fit-out and refurbishment projects
* Experience delivering projects in live operational environments
* Solid understanding of safety, quality, and construction methodology
* Ability to lead subcontractors and manage multiple trades
* Relevant trade background and/or formal construction qualifications
