Bream Creek Dairy is a premium Tasmanian producer of milk, cheese and associated products. We supply a growing network of retailers, hospitality venues and direct customers throughout Southern Tasmania and beyond.
The Role
You will work in a hands-on management role to coordinate sales, marketing and distribution activities for Bream Creek Dairy products including milk, cheese, wine and whisky. The role focuses on improving distribution efficiency, coordinating logistics and supporting sustainable sales growth. The successful candidate will prioritise tasks effectively, develop efficient systems and focus on activities that generate meaningful value for the business.
Key Responsibilities – Distribution & Logistics
* Organise and oversee distribution of Bream Creek Dairy products
* Coordinate delivery schedules with drivers and courier services
* Improve logistics processes to increase efficiency and reduce unnecessary travel or handling
* Ensure smooth order fulfilment through effective coordination between customers and delivery drivers
* Manage packaging and dispatch of cheese through local delivery, postage and courier services
* Coordinate delivery driver rosters and organise reliable fill‐in drivers during illness, leave or peak periods to ensure uninterrupted deliveries
Key Responsibilities – Sales & Customer Relationships
* Maintain and develop relationships with retailers, hospitality venues and other customers
* Identify and pursue new sales opportunities
* Manage customer enquiries and resolve issues efficiently
* Support delivery drivers in maintaining strong day‐to‐day relationships with customers
Key Responsibilities – Marketing & Promotion
* Identify and develop marketing opportunities
* Coordinate promotion through social media, website content, expos, markets and tastings
* Represent Bream Creek Dairy at selected events and industry activities
Planning & Reporting
* Forecast sales and assist with production planning for milk and cheese
* Maintain accurate sales data and reporting
* Monitor customer ordering patterns and identify opportunities for improved efficiency
About You
We are seeking a practical and organised professional who can balance customer service with operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
* Strong organisational and time‐management skills
* Ability to prioritise tasks and focus on activities that deliver value to the business
* Excellent customer relationship skills
* Initiative in identifying new sales opportunities
* Ability to implement efficient processes and systems
* Clear communication with both customers and internal team members
* Ability to prioritise high‐value work and manage logistics efficiently rather than relying on ad‐hoc problem solving or unnecessary travel
Skills & Experience
* Experience in sales, logistics, distribution or account management
* Strong organisational and problem‐solving ability
* Experience with business systems including Ordermentum, Xero and Microsoft Excel
* Ability to prepare sales forecasts and reports
* Experience in food, agriculture, or distribution businesses will be highly regarded
* Experience coordinating delivery drivers, contractors or logistics staff
Requirements
* Current Australian Driver's Licence
* Ability to attend occasional markets, expos and tasting events
* Strong communication and organisational skills
