At MyState Bank, we’re here to make banking easier and more human — for our customers, our communities, and each other. As part of strengthening how we manage operational risk across the organisation, we’re looking for an Operational Assurance Analyst to join our Risk team in Bundaberg.
This role suits someone who enjoys working with people, understanding how things work, and helping teams improve the way they manage risk.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll help us understand whether our controls and processes are working as they should. You’ll work closely with teams across the bank, offering support and guidance in a way that builds trust and confidence.
Your Work Will Include
Supporting the delivery of our operational risk assurance planTesting key controls and identifying opportunities to strengthen themHelping document and review processes following incidents or breachesContributing to the development of our risk policies, procedures and frameworksPreparing clear, simple reporting for senior leadersHelping lift risk awareness and capability across the organisation

Ideally, You’ll Have
Experience in banking, finance or a related industryExperience in assurance, auditing or operational riskA good understanding of risk frameworks and regulatory expectationsConfidence working with data and using ExcelAn ability to translate complex information into simple, practical insightsA friendly, approachable communication style
