Job Summary
We seek a highly skilled and experienced professional to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of nursing and midwifery education in Northern Australia.
As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate subjects in diabetes education, nursing, and/or midwifery. This will involve designing engaging learning activities and assessments using flexible, blended, and online approaches.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop curriculum content and educational programs that meet industry standards and academic excellence.
* Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students, utilizing a range of teaching methods to engage learners.
* Contribute to research and scholarship in nursing, midwifery, and diabetes education, expanding knowledge and expertise in these fields.
* Provide clinical supervision and support for students as required, fostering a safe and supportive learning environment.
* Engage with professional networks, academia, and community partners to advance our mission and promote best practices in education.
Requirements
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Midwife (or both) with a relevant authority.
* Credentialed and experienced Diabetes Educator with expertise in Australia's healthcare landscape.
* A Master's or PhD in a relevant discipline (or significant progress towards completion), demonstrating academic rigor and commitment to lifelong learning.
* Demonstrated clinical experience and expertise in diabetes education, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care.
* Experience in flexible and online teaching approaches, leveraging technology to enhance student engagement and outcomes.
* Ability to address complex health issues unique to tropical, regional, remote, and Indigenous contexts, showcasing cultural competence and empathy.
