We are searching for a dynamic Regional Sales Manager with technical expertise, a successful track record and a passion for the lighting industry. He/she will manage Lumascape’s activities in an assigned region (Australia and New Zealand) and is responsible for multiple accounts (distributors, specification, and/or public agency) as the lead Account Manager and implements promotional strategies to secure incremental revenue for the business line.
The primary focus is management of business-to-business relationships and identifying and developing new market opportunities to provide measured revenue growth. Provides support as the primary communicator to the Sales Director for information on their market’s conditions and all area accounts and competition, pertinent to sales progress.
*This position is performed remotely, but applicants must reside in Sydney (preferred) or Melbourne.

Essential Job Functions/Tasks:
1. Works closely with the Director of International Sales to develop, establish, and direct channel and distribution strategies and programs.
2. Develops and advances key specific relationships by calling on architects, engineers, and lighting designers in major markets.
3. Develops and executes lead programs and implements reporting and feedback mechanisms with our local distribution partners to track key quotation statistics, forecasts incoming orders and assists in production planning.
4. Manages sales growth primarily in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) market and assists sales in other markets, when required.
5. Responsible for formulating and driving marketing needs for ANZ
6. Responsible for the management of ANZ sales, with respect to setting and achieving sales plans, budgets, and the maintenance of margins. Budget and sales plans are set in consultation with the CEO.
7. Leads, directs, controls, and motivates the internal and external sales team and distributors to meet their agreed objectives. Maintains good working relationships with other departments.
8. Establishes relationships with government agencies and city councils responsible for maintaining current lighting as well as design new lighting networks and smart city applications.
9. Allocates and manages market segments and territories.
10. Manages and develops Lumascape (ANZ) sales process.
11. Manages CRM, becomes a champion of the disciplined use and maintenance of the CRM.
12. Develops appropriate sales reports and develops a forecast model. Monitor sales in various regions, reports, present plans, and actions to team.
13. Keeps up to date with current and developing trends in the LED and lighting industry at international levels. Stays current technically, maintains a high level of product knowledge, and understanding of new lighting technology and products.
14. Extensive domestic and some international travel required.
Education/Training Required or Preferred:
15. Bachelor’s degree in Lighting, Business Administration, Marketing, or Architecture.
Experience Required or Preferred:
16. Minimum five years progressive experience preferred in professional sales or a technical support position with a preferred minimum of five years in the lighting industry.

Effective selling and presentation skills, with the demonstrated ability to attain sales goals through annual marketing plans and ongoing goal management. Ability to explain and sell the features and benefits of all Lumascape products and to conduct associated training and educational programs. Requires strong commitment to customer service and negotiating skills.
18. Technical knowledge of company and competitor products. Ability to perform field service, troubleshoot systems and recommend solutions, as well as demonstrate side by side product comparisons.
19. Knowledge of finance and budgeting processes. Ability to prepare budgets and manage expenses within budget and have attention to detail.
20. Ability to establish and maintain highly effective internal and external working relationships and achieve a high level of customer satisfaction. Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English. Ability to leverage relationships and negotiate contracts.
21. Ability to travel extensively, live in a strategic location within the territory, and work flexible hours.
22. Computer skills with ability to use Windows programs and to perform word processing, spreadsheet, and CRM applications on a personal computer.
23. Valid driver's license and driving record sufficient to meet requirements to be insured by company. Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport.
24. Knowledge of consultative selling techniques, agency representatives, distribution channels, specification process, business management and marketing techniques.
25. Aptitude for teaching/coaching/mentoring and facilitating training in both small and large groups.
26. Must be goal orientated with the ability to meet or exceed sales objectives. Requires the ability to lead, plan, and organize for meeting objectives across assigned region(s).
27. Product appropriate advanced level certifications preferred.
28. Fluency in other languages commonly spoken within the region preferred. Knowledge of regional business and cultural practices preferred.
29. Advanced coursework in business management, project management, IT-skills or another related filed preferred.
