Are you an AI pioneer ready to architect the intelligent core of a next‑generation financial platform? We are partnering with a global SaaS leader to find a foundational Senior AI Engineer. This is a zero‑to‑one opportunity to establish and scale their Generative AI ecosystem from the ground up as part of a transformative modernisation programme.
The Mission:
You will be the key technical architect responsible for building the foundational AI capabilities that will define the product's future. Your mission is to design and implement advanced systems, including sophisticated RAG and GraphRAG, to intelligently interpret complex, interconnected financial data. You will ensure these cutting‑edge capabilities are not just experimental but are production‑ready, secure, and compliant.
The Role:
As the Senior AI Engineer, you will bridge the gap between groundbreaking AI research and robust, scalable engineering. You will own the architecture and implementation of the core GenAI stack, embedding governance and observability from day one to deliver safe, accurate, and differentiating features.
Key Responsibilities:
* Architect & Build: Design and build the foundational Generative AI ecosystem, including advanced RAG/GraphRAG systems to query complex structured and unstructured financial data.
* Bridge to Production: Create the rigorous framework that transforms AI prototypes into reliable products. This includes designing evaluation methodologies, defining datasets, and implementing automated testing pipelines for safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
* Embed Governance: Instil strong MLOps principles, observability, and ethical guardrails from the outset to ensure secure, scalable, and trustworthy AI deployments within a regulated domain.
* Collaborate & Lead: Work closely with data scientists, platform engineers, and product teams to integrate AI capabilities that meaningfully enhance this global SaaS platform.
What We're Looking For:
* A "been there, done it" expert with deep, hands‑on mastery of RAG/LLM architectures and a proven track record of taking AI systems from concept to production.
* A strong background in Data Engineering, ML Engineering, or MLOps, with the ability to build robust, scalable infrastructure for AI.
* Experience designing rigorous evaluation frameworks, synthetic data generation, and automated testing for AI models.
* A strategic thinker who is passionate about both the potential of Generative AI and the engineering discipline required to harness it responsibly.
* Proficiency with cloud platforms, ideally AWS (experience with SageMaker, Knowledge Graphs, Databricks, or similar is a strong plus).
* Experience in a regulated industry (FinTech, HealthTech, etc.) is a significant advantage.
